13 Months, Already!!!

It feels like your first birthday was yesterday, it's very hard to believe that it has been a month! I love watching you grow, but it is flying by faster and faster, little guy!

This month:

-I think you weigh about 23 pounds or so...we go to the doctor in a couple of weeks so we will know for sure!
-You are about 30 inches tall.
-You are wearing size 18 months.
-You are still wearing size 4 shoes.
-You are in size 3 diapers during the day and size 4 at night...we are probably going to switch you to all size 4 soon.
-You are eating SO much more now. Table food all three meals and an afternoon snack.
-You are completely switched to whole milk (no more formula!) and off of the bottle.
-You will not walk, but are getting around fine with crawling. You have taken a couple of steps, but aren't that into it yet.
-You still say "Mama, Dada, Laila (sometimes), and Eye"
-You love "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Pat a Cake"
-Daddy gets up every morning with you and feeds you breakfast and you love that (and so does Mommy!)
-You love to play in your room and make a huge mess in there in minutes! :)
-You love to be outside, but it is summer and you do NOT like the heat!
-Your favorite shows are: Bubble Guppies, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Blues Clues, and occaisonally Jack's Big Music Show"
-You are pretty much growing out of Yo Gabba Gabba.
-Your favorite foods are: Panera mac & cheese (your very favorite!), buttered toast, chicken nuggets, yogurt, and pasta. You love your carbs, but Mommy gets you to eat protein and veggies/fruits too.
-You hate the texture of most veggies/fruits so we do some baby food still.
-You are doing so well in the nursery and don't mind at all when we drop you off in there on Sundays and Wednesday nights.
-You love to knock the DVDs off the shelf in the living room and get in lots of trouble for that. Haha.
-You have learned to shake your head right back at us. It's really hard not to laugh at you.
-You have 5 teeth and I think you are working on one more.
-You HATE when I brush your teeth. I pretty much have to hold you down every time.
-You still love for me to read books to you and Dr. Seuss book are still your favorite.
-You LOVE to knock over blocks, toys, pretty much anything that you can knock over.
-Oh yeah...You are mostly sleeping through the night!!! Woohoo! You take 1-2 naps during the day and then sleep from around 8pm-7am. Sometimes you wake up a couple of times for your paci or to be changed. But you are doing so much better and I am so proud of you! 

I love you, sweet boy, and I just love being your Mommy! You are my heart!!!!

Nate Turns 1!

My baby boy! You just turned one year old!!! That just doesn't seem possible!

First of all, this month:

-You weigh 22 lbs, 11 oz.
-You are 30 inches tall!
-You are wearing mostly size 18 month clothes, although, some 12 months still fit.
-You still are in size 3 diapers.
-You still have only one pair of shoes that you can wear. They are size 4 from Stride Rite.
-You love playing with toys and love figuring them out.
-You are pulling up on everything and can stand up for a good while before you fall down. You still will not try to walk, you have no interest at all. No worries, I bet you take off very soon!
-You are sleeping better through the night and unless you are sick or we are traveling you go to bed around 8:30 pm and sleep until at least 7:30 am or so.
-We are in the process of weaning you from your bottle/formula. It is going ok, but you are hanging on to the nighttime bottle for dear life.
-You still use your paci at nap and bed time.
-You are eating more and more table food. You gag every now and then, but eat most anything. Except cake! Haha! You hated every birthday cake you tried!
-You still are mostly saying "Dada & Mama" although you babble all the time and seem to have your own special language going on!
-You love to clap!
-You love music!
-You love playing with Laila and will laugh so hard watching her fetch her toys!
-You understand "NoNo" and shake your head when you hear it, although, you generally listen and stop doing whatever you were doing (usually it's touching the DVD player)
-You love when Mommy reads books to you, your favorite is still The Cat in the Hat.
-Your favorite shows right now are Bubble Guppies & Blues Clues. You still like Yo Gabba Gabba too, but not as much as you used to.
-You are doing so well in the nursery at church, Mommy is so proud of you for being such a big boy!

That's all I can think of right now, although I am sure I missed some things! You are growing so fast and changing each and everyday!

For your 1st birthday party, we we took a trip to Alabama! We spent some time with Nonnie & Poppy and Grammy & Grandpa as well as had your birthday party! It was a Cat in the Hat party and it turned out so cute. You had lots of friends and family come as well as four of your great grandparents! You are one blessed little boy! Here are some pics from your special day!

Mommy & Daddy are so blessed to have you as our little boy! We love you so much and are so so so proud of you! Happy Birthday, little buddy!

11 Months Old!

My baby is 11 months old! I cannot believe I have only a month left before he turns one year old!

This month:
-You are wearing mostly 18 months old clothes (except 12 month old shorts).
-Wearing size 3 diapers still.
-Eating a lot more table food, but still eating baby food too.
-I am not sure what you weigh or how tall you are...we go to the doctor when you turn 1.
-You are sleeping SO much better and go to sleep around 8pm and wake up around 7am. Sometimes you wake up once or twice.
-You take 2 naps everyday for about 1-2 hours.
-You can say "Mama, Dada, Baba, Laila, & Eye"
-You are pulling up, crawling, & getting into everything. You haven't tried to walk yet and don't have much desire too. You get where you want by crawling really fast.
-You still love Yo Gabba Gabba, but also are starting to love Bubble Guppies, Blue's Clues, & every now and then Dora.
-You are drinking mostly out of the sippy cup, but still get your bed time bottle. (one more month left! )
-You love people and church. You are doing so well in the nursery and your separation anxiety is getting better.
-You are only taking your acid reflux meds once a day now and we are hoping to wean you off of it soon.
-You love your Daddy so much and love when he comes home for lunch and playtime.

I love you so much, baby boy. You bring such joy to my and your Daddy's life. Thank you for being such a sweet little boy. I am so proud of you!   

10 Months Old!

I cannot believe my little baby is already 10 months old? Where did the time go? Mommy loves you, little man, and I love getting to see you grow everyday, but at the same time I cannot believe how fast you are changing and growing!

At 10 months you are:

-21 lbs, 4 oz
-29 inches long
-saying a lot more words: Mama, Dada, Baba, Laila, Eye, Bye Bye, and you say "Gu" a lot. I am not sure about that one
-You are sleeping better, but it is really hard to get you down for the night. It has been taking a couple of hours!
-You are eating a lot more table food, but still love your baby food too.
-You are still drinking 4 oz of formula, but out of your sippy cup every time except bedtime.
-You are wearing size 12 month clothes and 18 month size too
-You wear a size 4 shoe.
-Still in size 3 diapers.
-You still love Yo Gabba Gabba, but also like Jack's Big Music Show and sometimes Tom & Jerry
-You love Dr. Suess books...especially The Cat in the Hat
-You have been having separation anxiety when we leave you in the nursery and it breaks my heart!
-You love Laila and say her name A LOT!
-You really hate riding in the car...but love when we go places.
-You have four teeth now, two on top and two on bottom.
-You are so so busy and crawl and pull up on everything!

Mommy loves you so much, Nathan! You are my sunshine! 

9 months of getting to know my baby boy!

I know I say this every single month, but I cannot believe my baby boy has been in this world for 9 months! When I got pregnant with him, I remember thinking that 9 months was so long and I felt like I would be pregnant forever! Well, these past 9 months have flown by and although I am enjoying watching him grow & develop, I can't help but wish it wasn't happening so fast! Nate, you are Mommy's world and I love you more than I ever could have imagined. You are the best, sweetest, and smartest baby in the whole world and I am so glad that God chose me to be your Mommy!

This month you....
-Weigh 20 lbs. 14 oz (with clothes on) and are 29 inches long!
-Are so mobile! You are crawling everywhere and pulling up on anything!
-Are wearing size 12 months and some size 12-18 month clothes! You are so tall!
-Are 60% for weight & 96% for height in your age group!
-You are eating about 4 jars of baby food and 4 4oz bottles mixed with cereal and formula each day!
-You are enjoying some table food: yogurt, shredded cheese, turkey (sometimes), lemons, and a bite of Mommy & Daddy's food every once in awhile. Textures are still gagging you out!
-You still love your puffs & yogurt melts! :)
-You are sleeping through the night mostly, but wake up a couple of times for your paci.
-You have been going to bed around 8pm, but wake up around 6am! boo! lol
-You love to "talk" and can say "Mama" "Baba" & "Dada"
-You love your bottle and get so excited when you see me mixing it up!
-You still love your jumparoo and TV shows, but you are enjoying playing more with your toys.
-You are still in size 3 diaper.
-You had separation anxiety for the first time last week when I dropped you off in the nursery and it broke my heart for you to cry and reach for Mommy! :(
-You love to go on our afternoon walks with Ms. Teresa and don't make a peep in the stroller! Usually you fall asleep.
-You drink your juice in your sippy cup and are really good at it!
-You now have 3 teeth. One on top and two on bottom!
-You still LOVE bathtime and love splashing/playing in there with your toys.
-When we lay you down in your crib, we have to put a paci in your mouth and one in your hand for you to hold.
-You and Laila are becoming best friends and love playing together! She watches out for you!
-You love going "bye bye" and riding in the car (watching your shows)
-You love music!
-You have lots of nicknames: Naters, Nater Taters, Terminator, BooBoo Bunny (no idea where this came from)

Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you, Nate! You are growing into such a sweet little man!

8 Months!

My sweet baby boy,

How is it possible that you are 8 months old? Time is flying and Mommy just wants it to slow down!
This month you are:
-Wearing 12 month clothes!
-Weigh 19 lbs, 12 oz and are 28 inches long
-Eating 4-5 4 oz bottles thickened with rice cereal (we found out you have acid reflux)
-Eating baby food three times a day
-Wearing size 3 diapers
-You can sit up really well and can sit up from laying down
-You love riding in your stroller during walks with Mommy & Ms. Teresa
-You still love Yo Gabba Gabba and jumping!
-You are almost crawling, but can roll/scoot where you want to go
-You are sleeping better, but still get up at least twice during the night.
-You said Mama a couple of times, but won't say it as much as I would like
-You love your sippy cup and drink out of it very well!
-You have to go to bed with one paci in your mouth and one in your hand
-You absolutely love bath time in your bathseat! You get so excited every night and love playing with your bath toys!
-You love Daddy so much and smile when he comes home from work!

I love you, Nate, with all of my heart! You are Mommy's sunshine!
